Once the general brand aesthetic was decided, I began producing an A6 booklet which would be one of the main components of a pack that people would receive upon joining Hobby Con. The Type based logo has been kept very simple with a thick, curved cornered sans-serif typeface to keep intone with the icons without drawing too much attention away from them. The conventions brand identity is made up from the use of the icons and colours. An illustrated logo would make this aesthetic messy.
The conventions hobbies have been split up into three categories which have been colour coded. Yellow: Arts and craft. Blue: Technology based hobbies. Red: Sports. The aesthetic is kept consistent throughout the campaign aside from the variation in colour scheme.
The content of the booklet is purely informative. It will consist of a bit of information on a few of the main hobbies offered at Hobby Con as well as information on specific workshops and lectures which will take place over summer. The booklet will be the catalogue for hobbies to the audience. This will help link them to the Hobby Con website where they will actually RSVP to events and explore the more extensive list of hobbies available.
As well as a booklet, I plan to produce or mock-up flyers, posters, banners, lanyards, badges, a website, t-shirts and stickers
