Below are the photos I took during my experimentation with light drawing. I wanted to create simplistic, hand-rendered images that have a handmade feel. I had to decide what style of lettering I wanted. I used a variety of adapters to my torch to adjust the thickness of the lines created. I found that the thick likes worked better with this style as the thin lines made an un-steady hand more obvious.
As you can see above, one of the problems I found was getting the photo in focus, but once focused it for one shot, I didn't need to change it.
I then attempted to create some simplistic drawings. The images that came out had child-like drawing look to them. I could see that this concept would appeal to adults with children because of this. For my light drawings I used some quick sketches of what I wanted as reference. Some turned out better than others, but the key to light drawing is repetition.
Below is my first attempt at a cat. I could either do the drawing in segments and then bring it all together in photoshop, or make the exposure longer to give me more time to draw. I found that the long exposure was the better technique.

I found that the flower was the easiest to accomplish and managed to draw the flower exactly how I wanted it in the 3rd try.
After drawing I considered creating the type for my designs with light drawing as well, writing "frame". The outcomes were messy and didn't have the friendly, home-made look I was going for.

I was worried that the silhouette designs might look a bit sinister. The dark shadow could be considered scary or have evil connotations, but I asked for feedback from people of the course and found that it had connotations of optimism.
I shot my photos in RAW file format so that I could bring them into photoshop to edit in more detail. I adjusted the exposure to get rid of any blurred figures in the background as I solely wanted the light drawing.
I also experimented with the temperature and tint to see how the light drawings would look in a diferent colour. I decided to keep the light drawings blue as it seemed to have connotations of friendliness, and resembled shooting stars.
Using photoshop I experimented with layout. I have chosen landscape at the moment, but think that the flower design would definitely work better portrait. I think that the designs have a running theme, although The silhouette design might work better in the A3 design as each frame is supposed to appeal to diferent age ranged audiences.
