Upon printing out a prototype of my leaflet design I found that all the colours were in the correct place and the fold worked very well with my design but I encounter a problem with the diagonal belly band that I want to use as a title for the leaflet.
Because of the shape of the belly band it can easily twist as seen below which doesn't really function well as a belly band and doesn't keep in theme with the diagonal lines of the leaflet design.
When fully folded out I found that by using the guidelines in InDesign I have avoided having folds where there is writing.
I am pleased with the outcome but plan to experiment with the diagram inside as it lacks substance and looks quite bland. I want to keep it simple though. Icons may be a good way to make the design more approachable and visually pleasing.
