Here are some pieces of food related branding that I've found interesting for my own kickstarted brief.
Nancy's Yoghurts by Amanda Day
The general feel of this brand is friendly and natural. The pastel colours and hand-rendered type help create this brand. The white at the bottom of the packaging has connotations of milk. helps balance the design perfectly.
Menu Fruit by Alan Rodriguez
These fruit sweet package design have a very strong mexican brand look to them that stands out a lot. The use of lots of thick stroked dark brown lines gives the design a lot of contrast. The bright colours on each design add to this contrast.
Foodpreneurs by Hungry Sandwich Club
I love the uber-simple look that has been used for this branding by hungry sandwich club. The icons were created on a circular grid they made to keep the icons consistent and balanced. The colour scheme is very basic as well which adds to the minimalist look. This look would not work well with The vegan Bros brand as I need to give a less artificial look.
