Layar is an interesting way to create augmented reality with the users smartphone. The only issue I can see with this is that the whole thing relies on the user having the app needed to use it.
QR codes were meant to be the next big thing but seem to have stopped being used for creative purposes. Below is a creative way that a QR code has been used to animate a tattoo. This technique could be used to send a user to a youtube video which can rest on the page and interact with its content.
I may take inspiration from this to create an magazine ad which links to a video that is adds to th image on the advert.
