As research for my pullout design, I have looked at other pieces of interactive design which use the same technique. The first is 'things i have learned so far' by stefan sagmeister. The book sleep features a photo of stefan sagmeister and the series of books that are kept inside change the sleeves image. There doesn't seem to a concept for this, but the interactive design is engaging to the audience and interesting the play with.
The second design, was more of an animation style similar to the pullout design I am creating. by pulling out the inside card, a loading animation is created. The concept for this is that the retro loading design is dated and may be more recognisable to the person who is receiving the birthday card.
My own design will work similarly. The motion of pulling the inside card in and out will either fill or empty the image of cocktails. this clearly links with the cocktail making theme.
